Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a special item that makes certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a photo disc. It's often given as a prize during Pokemon GO events.

Upgrade components

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements like ligatures and fractions, ornaments, swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you insert and view these special characters, along with regular symbols like em and en dashes, as well being registered trademark symbols.

Each Glyph gives a primary stat boost for the character. The glyph may also include up to four secondary stats that affect its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats can be described as a %-increase that is multiplied after other bonuses are applied, [Redirect-301] with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them, and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will bring up a window that displays the Glyphs available to you. You only need to apply the appropriate Glyph to the item you have selected. Each weapon or armor piece has its own collection of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be improved through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult a dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph has reached level 15 it is able to be upgraded via the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node for each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a glyph has been upgraded to its desired level you can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The resulting Glyph will give its stated benefit, and will also increase the number of nodes within its radius on the Paragon Board. It's crucial to place glyphs in the best locations to benefit your build, and this is why it's beneficial to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs, however, might offer dual benefits when certain conditions are fulfilled, so they're worth looking out for too.

Click the cycle widget to change the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each view shows the Glyphs using a different font. You can reduce the number of glyphs by choosing an option beneath "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols restricts the options to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is a process in which you open a new account to give yourself more opportunities to access the character or weapon you are interested in.
